Split firewood with delivery in Riga — pine and spruce (softwood) logs for stoves, boilers, fireplaces and saunas. We produce our firewood ourselves in Latvia, so you buy direct from the producer. Firewood is sold per cubic metre: choose the quantity and the firewood price per m³ appears instantly — with VAT for private buyers, without VAT for companies.
What pine and spruce firewood is like
- Lights quickly and burns hot — softwood contains resin, so it is also good for kindling and for warming up a room or sauna fast.
- Lighter than birch — the same volume gives roughly 15–30% less heat, but it usually costs less than birch too.
- Burn it dry — dry firewood gives more heat and leaves less soot in the chimney. Spruce tends to spark, so use a fireguard with an open fireplace.

FAQ
How much is a cubic metre of firewood?
The current price per m³ of pine and spruce firewood is shown in the calculator. Softwood is usually cheaper than birch because a cubic metre gives less heat.
What VAT rate applies to firewood?
Private persons buying firewood to heat their own home pay the reduced VAT (PVN) rate of 12% under Section 42(11) of the Latvian Value Added Tax Law. The calculator price for private persons already includes it. Companies are taxed under the general VAT rules.
What is the difference between a loose and a stacked cubic metre?
A stacked cubic metre is neatly stacked logs filling 1×1×1 m. A loose cubic metre is the same volume with logs thrown in loosely, so it holds less wood. Please call +371 29568256 to ask how our firewood is measured.
Is the firewood dry?
It is carefully prepared and ready to burn. Ask by phone for the moisture of the current batch.
Do you produce the firewood yourselves?
Yes, we prepare it ourselves in Latvia and sell it without middlemen.
Is pine and spruce firewood good for heating?
Yes. Dry softwood heats stoves, boilers and saunas well. A cubic metre gives roughly 15–30% less heat than birch, so you burn a little more of it, but it usually costs less.
How much firewood do I need for winter?
It depends on your house and stove. For example, a house needing 20,000 kWh of heat per season, with 80% stove or boiler efficiency, needs about 17–19 stacked or 21–25 loose cubic metres of pine or spruce. See the calculation and the heat table by species in Firewood price in Riga: what it depends on and how to choose.
